Purpose
Edits that anyone on the team can open, find and re-export, delivered in the right specs on the first try.
When to use it
For every edit, from the moment raw files are uploaded.
Who's involved
Role | Responsible for |
|---|---|
Editor | Edit, versions, exports, handoff |
Creative director | Internal review of v1 |
Steps
Copy raw files into the project structure: 01_Raw, 02_Audio, 03_Graphics, 04_Project, 05_Exports.
Name the project client_piece_v01; every new version increments (v02, v03) — never "final".
Rough cut to the approved script; hook in the first [2–3] seconds.
Add captions/subtitles (burned in for social), checked against the script for spelling.
Mix audio: voice clear, music under it, loudness [-14 LUFS] for social.
Colour: consistent across shots; skin tones natural.
Export to the format specs below; watch the export once start to finish.
Upload the version to the piece in Ark; move it to internal review.
Checklist
Correct aspect ratio and resolution
Subtitles spelled right, inside safe zones
Logo and brand colours correct
No black frames, glitches or audio pops
Version number in the file name
Done means
The latest version is in Ark, reviewed internally, and exported to the format's specs.
